That’s right. It could have
been you.

A year sooner. A few
years later.
A change in the world,
or a nation.

An invention or
program
or something unknown
that happened a decade
before you were born.

You’re smart
and work hard
and love life
but He,

not You
wears the badge
of success,
because you
missed the boat
you didn’t even
know was sailing.
