Wow has it been forever or what? Well I have been busy with er, lots of stuff, really.
In any event I decided to add some audio elements to the site. So I have done some voice recordings of some of the poems and am in the process of adding more. In the future I hope to include a recording of all the poems that I post.
Short stories obviously will take more time so be a bit patient as those recordings will take a lot of work, meaning they may never happen.
In the meantime why not enjoy the recording of “A Belated Verse of Untitled Fate.”

It seems like just about everyone is offering service for Direct TV these days. You can go down to just about any street corner in any mid-sized town and you will find someone offering to sign you up for service with DirecTV.
On the whole this is probably a good thing. Assuming that it continues to create a degree of competition with cable companies and other providers it may help to drive prices down, which, quite frankly can get out of hand very quickly. It is hardly a surprise that many people are switching to DirecTV when it can cost upwards of $150 a month to pay for the cable channels that you want.
Of course anybody providing any kind of television service, cable or satellite is going to have to continue to compete with the internet revolution. In all likelihood the wise companies will be those who provide internet access and then simple and effective applications for getting access to television and movie content – at a reasonable price. Those companies that continue to follow the old model of selling direct access to content separate from the internet will slowly face increased competition and may have problems in the future.

So I came across this little online game the other day and I’m having a lot of fun with it. Its called My Brute. Basically you make a little character and then beat up everybody.
Naturally I named my character after Colter Halfspear the main character in my online novel. Amazingly enough he went undefeated in his first six bouts (you only get to do six the first day and then you have to wait), which I thought was pretty cool.

I blogged about becoming a widgeteer a couple of weeks ago here. Today I wanted to give an update on my experience. Well I’m going to be absolutely honest.
It is the best program I have joined! The affiliate program is awesome. The ads are almost too easy to set up and use. I am quite frankly very happy with the program and the service.
Now don’t get me wrong their web site still needs a bit of work, but if you get into the forums you can see that the owners and administrators take feedback and comments very seriously. This is a very good sign, it means that they take their members seriously rather than just looking to make a quick buck and jump ship.
If you are into doing affiliate work at all then the widgeteers is a great program for you. Even if you join the free program you are still eligible to make affiliate earnings if you sign up members for the paying program. Sound good? It is.
And the paid program? Guaranteed views for your ads at a very reasonable rate. If you are a blogger looking to get exposure and maybe make a few bucks then try out the widgeteers.
If all of this sounds like hype then you got me. I really am excited about this program and I can’t help but blog about something this simple and effective. Even if you never spend a dime for your membership, you are essentially guaranteed some degree of traffic increase.
I hope you try it and I hope you like it. And either way I would love to hear your opinion.
