Eternity

Posted by admin on January 4, 2012

Forever.
A day plus a day plus infinity.
Happiness, bliss, one day
rolls from joy to joy, merrily.

Forever.
But longing, ingratitude, spite -
these vampiric voices
bleed out the happy night.

Forever.
An infinity of pleasure,
An eternity of horror,
Which do you choose?

Forever.
The mind’s eye sees
the illusions it creates,
your view of eternity.

A Bawdy Lass

a bawdy lass
with a full glass
may lead to pleasures untold

but what do I know
I’m just a geek

On The Tip of My Tongue

Posted by admin on March 30, 2011

On the tip of my tongue
words sit
like bricks
with your name,
a thick weight
dragging thought
to you.
I don’t speak
the dreams
my tongue seeks
to scream.

On the tip of my tongue
would be,
could be,
if need
I should say
what I pray
were real,
instead of fantasy.

To touch lips to lips
(both high and low)
caress so slow
from thighs to hips.
Fingers,
eyes,
linger
nigh your heart
until it starts
away at the drama of parting.

On the tip of my tongue,
but still unsung
words wither,
fantasy dithers.
Too elusive,
a shadow reclusive
I chase with the murmuring
slumbering, senseless
tip of my tongue.

Illusions of Desire – a Poem by Kelly D. Tolman

Posted by admin on January 27, 2011

Your image rests
Heavy.

Covering my
Thoughts.

A blanket of
Lead.

Like those that ebay sells
To desperate parents
Of wild autistic kids.

The longing bites
Deep.

I crave your eyes,
Skin,

Lips, hips, hair, hands;
You.

An ocean full of bytes
joins us without joining,
for one rushed moment.

Then longing takes
Me

To visit your
Ghost,

Waiting in a
Dream.

I wake and I see you;
I sleep and I feel you.
Illusions of desire.

Twin Roses

Posted by admin on October 2, 2010

A perfect rose in a perfect bouquet
Delicate, soft silk petals that each lay
Open and fresh amid brighter flowers.
Each a smile, caress, or slow passionate hour.
A second rose mixt with rougher flowers
No less perfect, with other soft powers,
Sits bruised and torn with petals worn and rude.
I lift, and her sharp thorns open hot blood
To run freely from heart to hand. It gnashes,
pricks, resists, is lifted up biting harsh,
Until I place it lovingly beside
Her sister, queen of majesty betimes.

Twin roses, Queens of my heart, stand entwined.
Their purposes, passions, desires, aligned.

Perfection – A Poem by Kelly D. Tolman

Posted by admin on May 31, 2010

I see perfection everyday
Dancing across your lips,
Swaying as you walk in your hips,
In your breath as you lay.

I hear perfection when you speak
And in the notes you sing.
Gentle names you call and linger
When you talk soft and weak.

I feel perfection in your touch,
Your hands or feet or hair,
Your breathing when you are near
Surrounds me like flowers.

Love and Death – A Poem By Kelly D. Tolman

Posted by admin on May 17, 2010

Life as I see it has two possibilities,
Death and Love.
Either you live dead,
Or love for Eternity.

Others disagree,
But for me,
Its Love or Death.

Some say dreams,
Some money,
Some family,
Some nothing.

What is a dream that does not love?
What buys money that doesn’t die?
What is a family if not the epitome of love?
What is death if not the emptiness of nothing?

Eternity is a long time to die.
Life is a long time to love.

For some its here and gone.
For others it just drags along.
For some it goes and stops.
For others it stops and stops.

But however this life moves about,
Whirling and swirling, or straight or short,
You may love all along or die,
As soon as you choose to quit or try.

Now Or Forever – A Poem by Kelly D. Tolman

A kiss.  The wish to be near.
Heard from afar it calls you.
A glow, a warmth, the fire clear
Sweeps like steaming mountain dew.

A flower glowing, this kiss so small.
Buds impatiently, uncontrolled,
Now bursts forth a tree so tall.
Whose fruit brings bitterness untold.

Coals.  The wish to hide far away.
Heard in your heart, the voice so soft.
The flame that ravished yesterday
Now ashes upon your soul are tossed.

The seeds alone taught you the pain
The flower could bring so swift
The greenery that could have been,
Precious fruit so sweet, ony if…

The Breath of Happiness – A Poem By Kelly D. Tolman

Posted by admin on May 3, 2010

Softly chants the dew
Of new coming joy.
When lovers renew
Their vows to adore.

When children can play
In their gentle homes.
Parents stop their fray
Their offspring to adore.

When bills are all paid
And pleasure not sought.
Not cars, homes or, games,
But true treasures adored.

Then blows happiness’
Soft breath through our homes.
This eternal bliss
The heavens adore.

Light? A Poem by Kelly D. Tolman

Posted by admin on June 5, 2009

There is no darkness in my heart,
Only shadows have lost their way.
The mind, the craze,
the simple thought
That brings to me a lighter sense
I love, I know,
but not quite right
A twisted form of midnight light.
