Tick Tock

Posted by admin on May 9, 2011

Tick – My nerves click.
Tock – My eyes rock
back and forth
from keys to clock.

Tick – Not yet, I sit.
Tock – My heart a lock
of bundled feelings
jumping in my throat.

Tick – What if?
Tock – Maybe
I pissed her off.
I sure hope not!

Tick – Stop thinking.
Tock – Stop imagining.
I’m starting
to really hate this clock!

Facebook – A Sonnet

Time –collapsible – a recycled can
Waiting for an electronic crusher
To make old friends into new friends again;
A clear, clever, carefree moment ushers

The turn to other days, better or worse.
Happy, sad, wistful – a whirring blender
Cutting melted emotions thick and coarse
Flies the dart of memory. Hard, slender,

The shaft catches my eye like green pixels
On photoshopped pics, while my eyes can blur
The edges of friend photos not fixed
with false themes.  My joy is made briefly sure.

If decades can be reborn in an hour,
Why do most of life’s moments drag on sour?

Shadow – A Poem by Kelly D. Tolman

Today, like always, shadow.
Yesterday shadow was light until at
Night when shadow was dark but for a
Moment when shadow was gone.  Almost
One minute was bright.  But
Ever unsure shadow returns.
